It’s not just legitimate companies looking to drive profitability
through -aaS models, because this new MaaS (malware-as-a-service)
subscription is offering cybercriminals the activity to rent access to
a trojan that can steal your banking data.
The botnet, named Nexus, was first made available on a forum in
January 2023 when it was described as a “very new” project which would
be under “continuous development” - although it was available at a
cost of $3,000 per month.

Subject: Seychelles to introduce SMS-based disaster risk alert
system

The Seychelles Meteorological Authority (SMA) has signed an agreement
with the country's two largest telecommunication companies with the
aim of bringing faster disaster risk alerts to the public.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed last week by Vincent
Amelie, the chief executive of SMA, along with the directors of
operators Airtel Seychelles and Cable & Wireless Seychelles during a
workshop to coincide with World Meteorological Day (which commemorates
the coming into force on 23 March 1950 of the Convention establishing
the World Meteorological Organization).

make reliable calls and send texts thanks to a nearly 360-foot-tall
tower. Elizabeth Caldwell from member station KWGS reports on the
significance of connectivity.
ELIZABETH CALDWELL: It's lunchtime in Kenwood, Okla., a tiny community
of about 1,000 people on the Cherokee Nation Reservation. It's pretty
far off the beaten path. In the community center, two women are
serving soup and sandwiches.
