The "uncarrier" blew past Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint in five out of six major metric tests, besting the competition on 4G download speed, 3G download speed, overall download speed, 3G latency, and 4G availability. The only metric T-Mobile didn't win was 4G latency; AT&T just beat it by a hair. http://mashable.com/2018/01/22/tmobile-rules-opensignal-report-2018/#I8q8AMFphkqj -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <988FEEAF-DC65-4095-89A2-9389113DDECC@roscom.com> Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2018 00:50:41 -0500 From: Monty Solomon <monty@roscom.com> Subject: FCC admits mobile can't replace home Internet, won't lower speed standard Pai offers no data for claim that Title II repeal boosts broadband construction. And now it's getting more help in that fight. The Verizon-owned division - an amalgamation of digital media assets cobbled together from acquisitions of AOL and Yahoo over the past three years - has built a group of outside companies that have agreed to pool together data that can be used for ad targeting. http://www.businessinsider.com/verizons-oath-has-a-new-data-plan-to-take-on-google-and-facebook-2018-1 -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ ********************************************* End of telecom Digest Tue, 23 Jan 2018
