Help Save Net Radio

It appears the union which looks out for the musicians and artists who
perform on radio is now making demands on 'internet radio' as well.
Not only do they want to be paid fees each month, but they are now
demanding *past due fees retroactive to January 1, 2006*. Or else.
Internet radio has nearly always received a free ride on this kind of
thing. Now with this latest demand -- due and payable by May 15, the
various internet radio stations are beginning to get sort of frantic.

For most (or all?) the stations, this monthly royalty payment will be
a burden. To pay off the past due, retroactive fees demanded will
essentially put them out of business. They are asking that we
publishers assist by referring readers to this web site:

http://savenetradio.org . Here you will get instructions about writing
letters to congressmen and other officials. Please see what can be
done to assist internet radio. Thanks.
