By acquiring Level 3, CenturyLink gained a larger on-net building footprint, giving it more options to reach more businesses with its own network facilities. The acquisition of Level 3 will increase its reach by nearly 75 percent to approximately 75,000, including 10,000 buildings in EMEA and Latin America. https://www.fiercetelecom.com/telecom/centurylink-says-level-3-acquisition-boosts-smb-network-reach-service-set -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ Message-ID: <20180207054609.GA5400@telecom.csail.mit.edu> Date: Wed, 7 Feb 2018 00:46:09 -0500 From: Bill Horne <bill@horneQRM.net> Subject: AT&T bills Florida family thousands for unused service after receiving their returned phones Cell phone sticker shock leads to call for action By Jackie Callaway Betty Falaska says her phone dropped countless calls. In a letter to Gizmodo last week, the agency said it was withholding the records from the public in order to prevent harm to the agency - an excuse experts say is a flagrant attempt to skirt federal transparency law. https://gizmodo.com/fcc-says-releasing-jokes-it-wrote-about-ajit-pai-collud-1822763256 -- Bill Horne (Remove QRM from my email address to write to me directly) ------------------------------ ********************************************* End of telecom Digest Wed, 07 Feb 2018
